Raffles Hotel Le Royal Phnom Penh - The Conservatory

The Conservatory

The Conservatory honors literary luminaries such as Andre Marlaux and Somerset Maugham, both of whom have been our guests. Offering an impressive and comprehensive list of beverages, it is also where Afternoon Tea is served.

Imagine starting your day with an early morning swim in the crystal clear waters of one of our two pools, followed by a refreshing drink under the frangipani trees as the rest of the world wakes up around you. Of course, late risers also benefit from moments of complete serenity, and night owls can enjoy a late-night dip until 10pm.

Please don’t get up from your perfect poolside position. Our attentive staff will bring chilled wines, beers and tropical cocktails directly to your sunlounger. Tapas and light meals can also be enjoyed, so there’s no need to interrupt your dreamlike state when hunger starts to call.

Swimming pool hours: 6am to 10pm
Poolside service: 8am to 6pm

Take time out from your day in a comfy leather couch, with a refreshing drink in hand. This is your chance to try the Femme Fatale, our signature cocktail created for Jacqueline Kennedy during her visit – and our version of the Singapore Sling. Tapas and light meals are served all day in the delightful dining area or out on the balcony overlooking the tropical gardens.

Look up to see colourful frescoes depicting leafy scenes and majestic elephants. Wander around to peruse portraits of famous past residents who have graced our bar stools. Feel a part of something grand when you come to the Elephant Bar, and write your own part of our unique story while you’re here.

Because appetites don’t always adhere to fixed schedules, and because holidays are all about breaking free from the dictates of society, we’ve opened Le Phnom 1929. Enjoy a delicious meal here at any time of day, and discover the brand new all-day dining concept by Raffles in Phnom Penh.

Find us in the hotel’s west wing, with leafy views of the gardens, outdoor terraces overlooking palm trees and Phnom Penh’s most beautiful boulevard, Daun Penh Avenue. You may have come here before, when the restaurant was known as Café Monivong. In keeping with recent renovations, we decided to give the place a thorough facelift and rebaptise it in honour of the opening year of the hotel. Now you can dine in a vibrant Parisian-style brasserie that oozes vintage charm while looking to the future by offering a contemporary dining experience with plenty of panache.

Rediscover the true flavours of classic French gastronomy, prepared to mouthwatering perfection by our chefs. Choose to start your meal with a plate of steaming escargots or a parfait de foie with crusty bread. Continue with a beautifully-seared prime cut of beef, a tower of seafood or melt-in-your-mouth beef tartare. We also offer a delectable choice of dishes elaborated with vegetarian diners in mind, alongside other comfort foods catering to the more discerning palates. Accompany your meal with a fine wine from the well-stocked cellar. Later on, raise a creative cocktail to your time in Phnom Penh, and get ready for a night of fun and lively entertainment at the capital’s new place to meet, mingle and be seen.

Le Phnom Brunch
Le Phnom is launching specially-curated set menus to share with friends and family at any time of the day, any day. We aim to increase awareness of food waste reduction and ensure the highest standards in food hygiene in accordance with our Planet21 campaign. The experience is further elevated with unlimited signature wines servings with our family style sets and complete with a complimentary access to the pool for all diners.

Dine on dishes that can be savoured only here. To develop a taste for the ancient Royal Khmer cuisine served at Le Royal is to become a regular resident. Our chefs, along with those at our sister hotel in Siem Reap, have been keeping the well-hidden secrets of Royal Cambodian recipes to themselves for many decades.

Following recent refurbishments, the restaurant gleams with its original aura of grandeur. Banks of arched windows showcase views of our lush gardens while letting daylight flood into the elegant dining room. High ceilings and interior walls feature masterful paintings by the royal artist Asasax.

Lose yourself in the peaceful splendour of this setting as a classical pianist tickles the ivories on the grand piano in one corner of the restaurant. Then, allow your tastebuds to be astounded by new flavour combinations throughout the gastronomic experience that awaits you here. If this is your first time, discover Khmer cuisine with our Tasting Menu. If not, you can order your favourite à la carte dishes, or try the signature Jackie Kennedy menu.

Come on weekdays for a business lunch that is sure to leave a lasting impression. A leisurely dinner can be enjoyed any day of the week. Saturdays and Sundays, lunch gives way to the Raffles Weekend Brunch, where two menus allow you to enjoy either free-flowing wine or Champagne with an amazing buffet of breakfast goodies and Cambodian delicacies.

Gueridon service
Restaurant Le Royal is one of the few restaurants in the world that serves both Royal Khmer and modern western cuisine, complete with signature gueridon service. Raffles Weekend Brunch is not to be missed with free-flow champagne and cocktails.
